Adapt IT Conference

Adapt IT Education provides cloud-ready and cost-effective software solutions tailored for both public and private tertiary institutions. For this reason, the company sponsored the ITS Integrator System User Group (ITSUG) 2023 conference from the 13th to the 15th of March 2023 at the Safari Court Hotel & Conference Centre, Windhoek. ITSUG 2023 was themed “Harnessing Revolutionary Technology for Sustainable Digital Transformation.” The event’s primary focus was to highlight the importance of digital transformation in higher education institutions.

The event was attended by over 200 delegates, exhibitors, and distinguished guests from various universities and institutions across different countries.

Among the attendees were Dr Adele Du Plessis, Mr Jan van Der Merwe, Mr Joseph Lakanemo, and Mr Hansbert Hamutenya from the University of Namibia. The team presented 3D-printed anatomical models and detailed the extent that the UNAM School of Medicine uses 3D printing to enhance teaching and learning.

The reception, feedback, and takeaways from the event were overwhelmingly positive. Attendees expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the conference’s focus on digital transformation in higher education institutions. UNAM’s showcase of 3D printed and anatomical models received high praise and sparked engaging discussions among participants.

The conference provided valuable insights into the potential of revolutionary technologies to support digitization efforts for a sustainable future in education. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of the benefits and practical applications of digital transformation in their respective institutions. The conference also resulted in actionable takeaways and ideas to implement innovative solutions and enhance teaching and learning experiences through technology.
